Nettie ADAMS

Dr. Adams was a school teacher in Washington, D.C. for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools. Currently, she is a DoDDS instructor in Okinawa and has been with CTC's adjunct faculty since March 2002, teaching Curriculum Resources for Early Childhood and Creative Arts for Early Childhood. Dr. Adams holds a Ph.D. from the Union Institute in Administration in Special Education, a Master's from Howard University in Special Education, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Federal City College.

John BRADFORD
 
Mr. Bradford teaches General Biology out of Japan. He is a lieutenant in the U. S. Army and joined CTC in March 2005. Mr. Bradford has a Master's in Biological Sciences from Wichita State University and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Kentucky-Lexington. He currently serves as chief of the Environmental Health Program at Camp Zama.

David BROWN
 
David Brown was a full-time instructor with CTC in 1993-1994, rejoining the Pacific Far East Campus in January of last year as a full-time computer instructor. Mr. Brown received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from West Point Military Academy, after which he served in the military before transitioning to the civilian sector of the military for 10 years, installing hardware and software and performing updates and training. Mr. Brown is based in Mainland Japan.

John BURZYNSKI
 
Mr. Burzynski joined CTC in August of 2002 as an adjunct faculty for the school's business management program. Mr. Burzynski is a military retiree with more than 30 years of experience in business management. He lives in Korea and holds a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor's from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

John CLEARY

Since 1994, Mr. Cleary has instructed CTC students in management and history. Before joining CTC, he worked as an Intelligence Operations Specialist and Special Operations Officer for the U. S. Army. Mr. Cleary has long held an interest in foreign language and culture, having obtained his Master's Degree in 20th Century History (Asian/African Studies) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. John's University. He currently lives in Korea.

Nicole CONRAD
 
Ms. Conrad has been a teacher her entire life, instructing students in fine arts and cultural studies across the Pacific Far East and in the U. S. She began her career with CTC as a part-time fine arts instructor before joining the full-time faculty in 2001. Ms. Conrad holds both a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Arizona State University.

Gene DEFREITAS
 
Mr. Defreitas served in the U. S. Marine Corps for 20 years before joining CTC as a management and computer instructor. While in the military, he assumed various management positions involving auditing, asset management, and other accounting functions. He was also a computer instructor for the Army and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Campbell University and a Master's Degree in Management from Troy State University. Mr. Defreitas is based in Okinawa. His classes include Principles of Management, Integrated Software Applications, Introduction to Word Processing, and Entrepreneurship and Business Development.

Sally DONALDSON
 
Ms. Donaldson was a real estate specialist before she began her teaching career in secondary education. Her students extended to adults when she joined CTC in 1995 as a part-time instructor of fine arts, becoming a full-time instructor in early 2004. Ms. Donaldson holds a Master of Arts in Education Supervision and Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Texas A&M University. She currently resides in Mainland Japan.

Jamie ENGBERG

Ms. Engberg's career has been devoted to the instruction of mathematics to high school and college students. She became a member of CTC's full-time faculty of mathematics in 2005. Ms. Engberg is based in Korea and received her Master's in Mathematics from Eastern New Mexico University and her Bachelor's in Mathematics from St. Olaf College.

Frances FISTER-STOGA
 

Ms. Fister-Stoga is an adjunct faculty for CTC's English curriculum in Japan. Prior to joining CTC in March of 2005, Ms. Fister-Stoga served with several other colleges, including Tokyo University, the University of Maryland, and Temple University in Japan. She holds several degrees, including a Master of Arts in English from McGill University and a Bachelor's in English from the University of Massachusetts. She has been working on her Doctorate in Education with the University of Bristol since 2001.

Maria FLORES
 
Ms. Flores became part of CTC's full-time faculty in September of 2005, teaching Principles of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Business Principles. Previously, she was with MWR and a controller for the travel industry. Ms. Flores holds an MBA from the University of Guam and a Bachelor of Science in Tourism from the University of the Philippines.

R. FUNK
 
Mr. Funk came to CTC in May of 2004 after serving twenty years with the U. S. Marine Corps., ten of which were also spent working with education institutions like the U. S. Naval Academy. Mr. Funk holds an MA in political science from Kansas State University, MPA from the University of Oklahoma, and BA from the University of Central Florida. He is currently an adjunct faculty in CTC's government curriculum out of Japan.

Leslie GRAY

Mr. Gray has been a criminal justice instructor since August 2004 in Japan, teaching Fundamentals of Criminal Law, Child Abuse, Prevention & Investigation, Legal Aspects of Law Enforcement, and Probation and Parole. Prior to joining CTC, Mr. Gray was a United National Police Officer in East Timor and a patrol officer in Arizona. He holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Mesa Community College.

Terry HAYS
 
Mr. Hays is a Master Instructor for Biology in Okinawa, having joined CTC in May 2000. He has also taught for DoDDS in Okinawa since 1990. Mr. Hays holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Texas Tech University.

Joseph HIRNIAK
 
Mr. Hirniak in an adjunct faculty for the History curriculum in Okinawa. He joined CTC in September 2005 and holds a Master of Arts in History from Millersville University.

Thomas JONES

Dr. Jones has been an adjunct faculty for Psychology since August 2005 in Japan. Currently, he is a social science analyst for the U.S. Government, performing diagnostic work and providing a full range of counseling and therapy support to all age groups. Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D. from the Institute for Human Sciences and an M.A. from National University.

Jae S. KIM

Mr. Kim has been an instructor for CTC's computer curriculum in Korea since August 2000, teaching "Managing a Window Server," "Internet/Web Page Development, and "Introduction to Database." He currently serves as a computer specialist for the U.S. Army. Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology.

Russell KROGH
 
Mr. Krogh first joined CTC as a field representative back in March 1989. He was also a part-time management and law enforcement instructor before becoming a member of the school's full-time faculty of management and criminal justice in January 1996. Mr. Krogh is based in Korea and has an Associates Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College. He was a sergeant in the military, serving in such positions as correctional guard supervisor, patrol supervisor, unit police supervisor, artillery firing analyst, and machine gunner prior to joining CTC.

Alan LAUGHTER
 
Mr. Laughter served with the U.S. Army for four years before joining CTC in January 2005 as an adjunct faculty for the Criminal Justice program in Korea. His classes include "Crime in America," "Terrorism: Groups, Strategies, and Responses," and "Criminal Investigation." Mr. Laughter holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from the University of North Carolina.

Kelly MCDONALD

Ms. McDonald teaches for the Criminal Justice program in Japan. Prior to joining CTC in October 2005, she worked from the United States District t Court for the District of Kansas and directed the Child Advocacy Center in North Carolina. Ms. McDonald holds a JD from Washburn University's School of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia.

Stephen McKEAN
 
Mr. McKean first joined CTC as a field representative in 1998. In August 1998, he was a part–time instructor in management and law enforcement before becoming a full-time faculty member in criminal justice in January 1999. Prior to coming on board with CTC, Mr. McKean spent nearly 30 years in the Army, specializing in military intelligence. He is based in Korea and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Albany.

Christina MINTON
 
Ms. Minton has taught Development Studies in Mathematics since November 2002 in Japan. She was also a middle-school math teacher in North Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Campbell University.

William NORTON
 
Mr. Norton became an adjunct faculty for the Criminal Justice program in Guam in May 2005, teaching courses like "Terrorism: Groups, Strategies and Responses." He concurrently serves with the U.S. Navy in Criminal Justice Administration. Mr. Norton holds a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Management from Hamilton University.

Todd SIMMONS

Mr. Simmons joined CTC in June 2004 as an adjunct faculty for the school's Criminal Justice program in Japan. He has taught courses that include "Crime in America," "Juvenile Justice System" and "Fundamentals of Criminal Law." Mr. Simmons currently services with the U.S. Air Force providing oversight for assigned investigators.

Karen SMITH
 
Ms. Smith joined CTC in September 2005 as a BSEP/HSDP instructor in Okinawa. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Dallas Baptist University.

John STEPHENS
 
Mr. Stephens was hired in February 2002 as a part-time instructor in human resource and business management before he became a member of the school's full-time faculty in October 2004. Prior to joining CTC, Mr. Stephens spent eight years in the military and accumulated management experience in such diverse fields as education services, dining services management, and budget analysis. Mr. Stephens is based in Korea and received his Master's in Human Resource Management from Pepperdine University in 1978 and a B.A. in History from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1973.

James SWEENEY
 
Dr. Sweeney has been a lifelong teacher, having received his Ph.D. in Education from Capella University prior to joining CTC as an adjunct faculty for the Anthropology curriculum in Japan. He also holds a Master of Arts from Azusa-pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts from UC Santa Barbara.

Steven UNRUH

Mr. Unruh was a part-time management and law enforcement instructor when he came on board with CTC in August 1996. After leaving CTC for a brief tenure with the U.S. government, Mr. Unruh returned as a full-time instructor of criminal justice and management in 2004. He is based in Korea and holds an Associates in General Studies and Bachelor's Degree in Business and Management from UMUC. Mr. Unruh spent 20 years in the Army with military police experience as a primary or secondary duty.

Douglas WEST
 
Prior to joining CTC as a criminal justice instructor, Mr. West served in the U.S. Army and Air Force for 25 years, working in military law enforcement, corrections, and security. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the College of Great Falls, Montana. Mr. West is based in Okinawa.

Dana WIGGINS
 
Ms. Wiggins taught high school history in Augusta, Georgia, as well as served as a graduate teaching assistant for the History Department at Georgia State University while working on her Ph.D. before joining CTC as a full-time history instructor. She holds a Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts in History from Augusta State University. Ms. Wiggins is also a member of the Southern Historical Association and currently resides in Okinawa.

Mark ZEID

Mr. Zeid is a full-time faculty for the Criminal Justice curriculum in Japan, teaching such courses as "Introduction to Criminal Justice" and "Child Abuse, Prevention & Investigation." He joined CTC in May 2004 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for seven years with the military police. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Antioch College and an Associate of Arts in Law Enforcement from Barstow College.
