GENERAL
INFORMATION
Logistical
Support refers to SOFA ID cards, dependent ID
cards, ration control cards, post passes, and
vehicle decals. In the past, information
was collected for processing when renewal time
was near. We are intentionally discouraging
this practice and want everyone to forward any
information that has changed and needs updating
when the change occurs.
This prevents a large data backlog having to be
updated within a very short time during the renewal
period. Additionally, this provides us
with year-round current, accurate logistical support
records. With your cooperation, this will
enhance our ability to serve you better.
FORMS
Most
logistical support forms are provided in Adobe®
Portable Document Format (.pdf) and may be viewed,
completed, and printed (but not
submitted electronically via email) if you have
the freely available Adobe Reader® installed
on your computer. Although using the Adobe
Reader eliminates using a typewriter or handwriting
the information, the form will still have to be
printed and submitted via FAX or mail. A
message
from Adobe explains this further.
Although we prefer that all forms be
completed and submitted
electronically, this is only possible if
you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat®
6.0 Standard or Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional,
or later, rather than Adobe Reader.
